Lonely am I, all alone
And scared am I, with no one there
He came into my life, courageous and strong
Could I have done anything but fall in love?
Rejection burns my soul to the core
All I ever wanted, gone
What may be the last days for my country
May be my last moments as well.
I will not do nothing.
I now wish for death, fiery and bright
Screaming my name, she calls through the dark
He was right, the snake, lonely am I
She calls, and I will answer.
Drawing me towards her, she cries my name
Pulling every inch of me closer
I open my eyes, now so close to death
And realize I dont want to die.
Calling me back from my terror and pain
I awake to grave danger and doubt
Darkness creeps closer
All life hangs by a thread.
There I find love, so warm and gentle
The rapture of waking with hope in my heart
Here I belong, filled with joy
